Meet the Team
OMG was formed in 2016 when three of these scamps met in a game design course for their postgraduate degrees at University of Edinburgh. They’ve been working together ever since.
Saran is a writer and designer from Portland, Oregon. She received her B.A. in Creative Writing at Willamette University but has picked up a number of other skills over the years including fine art, 3D modelling, and programming. She is interested in digital media as well as traditional artistic mediums and recently finished her postgraduate degree in Design & Digital Media at University of Edinburgh. When not creating or playing video games, she enjoys sewing clothes, writing poetry, and making terrible puns. See more of her work here: saranwalker.com
Nick is an audio designer and composer living in Edinburgh. He graduated from an MSc in Sound Design with Distinction in 2017. Since then he’s been working as a freelancer for the broadcasting department at the Scottish Parliament; taking part in an interdisciplinary artists residency at Hospitalfield House in Arbroath; working on a lofi hip hop album, and working on games with a rad group of people. He enjoys working with tape, and is currently slicing up a VHS copy of Candyman, working on an as yet unannounced (and highly spooky) project. Check out more of his work here: betterrunaudio.com
Scott is a software developer and game designer, focusing mainly on the production of assets for Offensive Magenta Games. His initial background was in art, but over the years this interest shifted into coding and visual digital technology. An MSC in Digital media at Edinburgh university is where he met Nick and Saran, where he now lectures occasionally in the Game Design Studio.
Sandy is the latest addition to the team, having worked with Nick previously on Half Lamp Studio’s The Extraordinary Life and Times of Nigel Farage, Gentleman. Sandy is a progammer and game designer, excelling at tackling difficult problems and designing bespoke mechanics to make everyone’s life easier. He grew up in Fife, and is currently based near Inverness.
